Question

If a minor is question a sheriff deputy at the home where she resides without permission or consent from her parent and she gives them a statement by their request is the statement admissible in the court pending any charges?

Answer

Admissible against her? In Texas, if they get a statement from a minor (and they can question her alone in her home without parental permission), then they must take her before a magistrate to have her warned before the statement is admissible against her.
