Question

Can a 20 year Comp. recipient in California, with an unsettled case, receive a lump sum payment for future orthopedic medical, then buy health insurance under the AFFORDABLE CARE ACT and use that insurance in lieu of his present MEDICARE???

Answer

If the insurance company is willing, you can always settle your case by Compromise and Release, at any time.

With regard to the "Affordable Care Act", I do not believe that even our President has that answer.

Good luck.
