Does an employer have to pay an employee drive time when they are put up in a hotel and drive too and from jobsite?

Answer

That's a question for the office of the labor commissioner. They regulate work hours and conditions. I imagine unless you have a contract of employment or a collective bargaining agreement the employer could do pretty much as they please.
