Question

I have a two year old daughter- I work two jobs and now make too much money for Medicare but not enough to buy insurance. Can I give custody of my child to my mother in order for my child to be covered under my mom's health insurance? I live with my mom. Baby's father lives elsewhere but would sign over custody. Michigan.

Thank you in advance.

Answer

You wouldn't be able to sign custody over, but you coud guardianship. Check with the probate court for a guardianship packet.
