I received an "Itemized List of Damages" by my previous apartment company. My leave date and signed walk through was 9/20/2014, the letter was dated 9/16/2014, but it was not mailed and post marked until 9/22/2014. Because, it was mailed 30 days after, is the damage payment now voided?

Unless you made a typo in your question, your inquiry is meaningless. You say you vacated 9/20 and got the itemization which was postmarked 9/22. That is just 2 days, and the landlord had 30 days to refund or account for keeping your deposit. What am I not understanding here?
