Question

This is complicated, I'll do my best to explain briefly. Sister-in-law & her husband took a road trip from Texas going to New York. They have 15 month old baby with and the 2 older boys stayed here to attend school. 2 other adults were with them. I got a call from Pennsylvania protective services stating baby was in custody and I had until the follwing morning to pick the baby up (she would be put into foster care). $1400 later for flight, hotel, etc. but we have the baby (thank god) & she is safe. Our family has paid a lawyer (not a very good one in my oppinion) & he claims he can have this case moved from Pa. To Tx. Their bond was set at $500,000 each and the charges were for lots of things. One being for 3000 g. Of heroine and cocain. Can this case be moved???

Answer

Actually if you were given custody in PA by Children & Youth you could take the child to your home in Texas. The Custody battle would be in Texas.

Answer

The criminal case will be in PA though. Or federal court which you don't want.
