Married 2.5 years Have not worked (only 6 months) the duration of the marriage I attend school fulltime & taken care of 3 terminally ill family members. Husband wants to file for divorce. He mortgaged the home in 2005; however, paid in lump sum over $75,000.00 from savings to pay off the entire mortgage during our marriage. I am not on the deed. Cannot confirm if any of the money in savings was deposited into account during marriage- husband wants me to leave the house & thus I would be homeless. I have little to no money however I pay for the electric bill, homeowners assoc.(both in husbs. Name), household items all toiletries & all groceries. In addition, during the time that I did work I purchased items & assisted my husband in paying for a kitchen & home upgrade (cabinets, appliances, first floor tiles); etc. which increase the property value.Can he lawfully kick me out of the house to become homeless? What are my rights? Husb. makes good $. Do I qualify for bridge gap ? Help.
