Do parents ever mandate that a child has to be married before receiving his or her inheritance? If so, why?

Question

Do parents ever mandate that a child has to be married before receiving his or her inheritance? If so, why?

Answer

Why, of course, the testator, i.e., the maker of the will can mandate in his or her will just about anything s/he wishes which is within the

bounds of the law which most certainly includes the condition for which

you have apparently manifested an obvious dislike.
