Question

Can a custodial parent file for parental rights termination of a non-custodial parent that has been convicted of a felony against their child without the help of an attorney? In other words, are there free forms to do this myself ?

Answer

No.

Termination of a person's parental rights is very serious. Judges won't grant a termination easily.

Look on this website & on www.avvo.com for an experienced family law attorney to help you. Don't hire someone that has never handled one before.

A judge will be willing to modify the current court order & terminate any visits with the child much easier than a termination of parental rights. You must talk to an attorney about your options.

Good luck!
