If my daughter is 16 and dating a 26 year old, is that illegal? I know the age of consent is 16 but I was wondering what my rights are as a parent.

Dating is not illegal. Sexual conduct may be under Iowa Code sections 709.12 and 709.14. As a person under 18 is a defined child that could cause issues. As a parent of a minor child you have the right to insist that the child conform its conduct to your expectations.
