My husband and I signed a lease on a Missouri apartment yesterday, but are having second thoughts about the unit. We were never given a copy of our lease agreement. Would we be able to back out now and only forfeit our deposit, or would the leasing company be within their rights to hold us responsible for the entirety of the lease?

If you have not received a key, or moved in, you might be able to get your entire deposit back.
