I recently worked on a paid holiday. HR is saying I will not be paid for those hours worked because I was already receiving 8 hours holiday pay. I'm not expecting overtime, just regular rate. Am I entitled to this pay?

Yes, if you're an hourly wage employee (not salaried) and you worked more
than 40 hours during the week in which you worked the paid holiday.(my opinion).
