My 2011 divorce decree in Mass. has me paying 67% of my net income after tax in child support and Alimony payments (6 kids). The child support is 32%, and the alimony is an additional 16% of my gross income of $195K. Under the new law where they are not supposed to use the gross income used to calculate child support in the Alimony calculation - how will my Alimony payments likely be effected when I go for the modification under the new law?
Answer
You can dowe load from the probate court a worksheet to make calculations. I suggest you contact an attorney for assistance. It strikes me your alimony and child support are excessive.
