Question

My grandmother pasted away and made me executor of her estate. she had two properties one in GA and one in CA. I transferred the property in GA to my brother with an executors deed. How can I transfer ownership of the property in CA to myself or sale it. Do I need to go through probate to sale or change ownership?

Answer

How much is the property in California worth? If the estate, including the property, is worth more than $150,000, you will need to file probate in California to transfer or sell any property.
