Question

Good Day

I received a traffic ticket in VA for being clocked at 89 in a 70 area (I don't believe I was going that fast but no proof). The cop wrote on the ticket reckless driving by speed. I have a number to call in 7 days to see what the cost of the ticket or can go to court in January 2015. Should I go to court or pay the ticket ? My main concern is the reckless driving part. Also, if there are two cars in the same area over the limit; what determines who they should pull over? The other car was in front me and pulled over when the cop's light came on but he pulled me over.

Thanks so much for your advice.

Answer

Consider consulting an experienced Virginia criminal defense attorney. Even though reckless driving only carries a fine in Maryland, it is jailable in Virginia.
