Question

I was recently arrested for terrorist threats In state of Minnesota but I reside in California. I posted 1000.oo bail. Court date coming up. Can an attorney represent me so that I don't have to attend. Or do I have to be there? I don't have a criminal record previous to this.

Answer

Laws vary from state to state. While California has a provision that's allow an attorney to appear on a misdemeanor, I don't know about Minnesota. You'll have to contact an attorney that practices there.

Answer

Your question is about the law of Minnesota, but you posted it under California law. Please re-post it under the correct state. Lawyers with the relevant knowledge are more likely to see it there, and future Minnesota users will similar questions will be more likely to find it.
