It depends. Are you charged with anything such as a civil infraction or possibly a criminal traffic charge? If so, definitely. If you're just wondering as a victim of a car accident if you should get a lawyer for property damage alone, then the answer depends on your insurance company. What are they willing to do? Are you out extra anything that only a lawyer can get? In other words, it sounds like you should at least talk to a lawyer, if not hire one.
