Question

Let's say a defendant is arrested in two counties for the same charge. When one county convicts it bars the other county from convicting correct?

Answer

Not if the defendant was arrested for and charged with a distinct separate criminal act in each county. If a defendant kills someone in Tulsa County and then drives over to Okmulgee County an hour later and kills a guy, he can be convicted of murder in both counties. If a defendant kills a guy in Tulsa County and that is it, Okmulgee county would never had a reason to charge the defendant.
