Question

We evicted a tenant for non-payment of rent. She had not paid rent since Oct. 2013. She was served by the sheriff and given a move-out date of 1/18/14. We granted her an extension to 1/20/14 at noon. She did move out by that time. The sheriff gave me the house back on 1/21/14. Tenant left a couple of pieces of junky furniture, tons of trash and a couple of boxes of records. Legally, can we have everything hauled away now or is their a process where we give her time to collect it?

Answer

leave it on the street - she has been officially evicted.
