Under auto policy if you have uninsured motorists for a hit and run will your insurance co. pay the deductible?

Question

Under auto policy if you have uninsured motorists for a hit and run will your insurance co. pay the deductible?

Answer

It depends on the terms of your particular auto policy. If they will not pay the deductible, but you've suffered personal injuries, it is possible to reach a UM settlement with the insurer such that you're compensated for your medical expenses, lost wages, etc. with some money left over to compensate you for the cost of the deductible.
