I live in VA and have 2 children with a woman I was not married to. I have custody of the oldest. She moved to FL and hid her pregnancy with the second child from me until the baby, now 4 years, was 3 months old. I tried to have a relationship with my daughter but am not on the birth certificate. The mother stopped contact with me and our son nearly a year ago. Yesterday I received a summons to a dependency hearing, stating that the mother was charged with 2 counts of felony cruelty to a child, among many other things. How can I get emergency custody of my daughter.
