Question

My attorney took over my case at the very end and secured the same settlement I would have gotten myself. That is not the problem , he had a nervous breakdown and I understand he has the settlement check now for three years and now doesn't answer calls and the insurance company will not talk to me about the money since I have representation. They told me I have to first discharge him for me to talk to them. I am concerned he took the money. What can I do and how do I discharge him. The accident was in florida and he is a NYC attorney.

Answer

Contact the New York Bar about the attorney. Hire an attorney to assist you in pursuing your funds.
