My mother who has been in a nursing home for over two years has received a collection notice from an attorney for a credit card bill. The account is in her name only. I paid the bill until I could no longer do so.

Can this collection attorney do anything with her Social Security, that is paid to the nursing home for her care? Her Social Security and Medicaid pay for her care.
